Good Day
and
welcome to my site.
I’ve
been involved with Astronomy for a very long time, since childhood in
fact. To me there’s nothing like getting out under a pristine sky
(Clear, stable, and very transparent) with my telescope "Bluey" and
having a look at some of nature’s finest site to see.
This site is dedicated to my interests in
Astronomy and Astrophysics. At present, we are in the middle of a great
revolution in Astronomy that those of us in the field like to call the
"Golden Age". It is a revolution of sorts as everything we’ve learned
about Astronomy through history till now, is being challenged.
For me however, my study of Astronomy probably
isn’t cutting edge science. First of all it would take a LARGE budget to
do science like this. For me, this is pretty much impossible. So I stick
to the things that interest me the most and let the rest take care of
itself.
Some of the subjects that have some to interest
me through my study of Astronomy have been:
- Comets
- Imaging
- Stellar Evolution
- The Sun
So here, I’ve decided to post pages about each
of my interests and talk a bit about each. Bear in mind that Astronomy
is always changing and so too will this site. I’ll try to keep the
information as accurate as I can as well as the structure of things but
bear in mind this is a work in progress.
